Anti-Ragging Policy

Commitment to a Safe and Respectful Environment

At OPP Paramedical College, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all our students. Ragging is strictly prohibited within our campus and is considered a serious offense. We adhere to the anti-ragging regulations laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other relevant authorities to ensure the well-being of every student.

What Constitutes Ragging?

Ragging includes any act of physical or mental abuse, discrimination, harassment, or any other form of intimidation or cruelty that compromises the dignity and safety of students. It can manifest in various forms, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal abuse or derogatory remarks
  • Physical assault or coercion
  • Forcing a student to perform an act that causes shame or embarrassment
  • Any behavior that disrupts the peace and harmony of the campus

Legal Implications

Ragging is a criminal offense, and any student found involved in ragging activities will face severe disciplinary action, including expulsion from the college and legal proceedings under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Undertaking Forms for Students and Parents

To uphold our anti-ragging policy, all students and their parents/guardians are required to submit duly filled-out anti-ragging Undertaking Forms within 30 days of admission. Failure to submit these forms along with the necessary documents will result in the college being compelled to take legal action against the registered admission.
